Bethesda recognizes that children are part of a family, therfore, parents need to be involved in healing, too.
While the children meet in their respective groups, the non-offending parents participate in an educational/ support group. This curriculum parallels the child’s program and addresses basic parenting skills, boundaries, problem solving, and issues specific to sexual abuse. The program also helps the parents refocus on their child's strengths and potentials. Our goal is for families to gain and build upon basic tools for healthy living.
