The Bethesda Preschool program is 12 weeks of psycho-educational group therapy designed to reach children ages 3 to 6.
The program addresses feelings identification and expression, body awareness, education about private parts of the body, personal space, assertiveness skills, calming techniques, and development of a safety protection plan.
Our therapists implement creative, innovative education methods that assist the children in grasping important information in a safe and comfortable environment. Our goal is to provide children with an opportunity to process their feelings related to trauma and to gain prevention skills to decrease their chance of future victimization.
The preschool program also has a parent component in which parents/caregivers meet concurrent to their child's group time to gain support and education related to their child's needs.
