Education Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Education Director & Executive Director
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Education Coordinator educates the community about personal space boundaries and survivor services by presenting information to school aged children, teachers, counselors, church groups, coalitions and professionals. The Education Coordinator used the Stop, Go and Tell curriculum to reach children with the vital information for personal space boundary rules and to encourage them to report if they have experienced sexual abuse. The Education Coordinator reports to and must work well with the Education Program Director. *The Education Coordinator reports to the Executive Director on projects relating to media, community engagement, and fundraising.
Responsibilities of the Education Coordinator include:
Coordinate the Education Program with school personnel;
Act as primary contact for schools and children groups;
Act as primary presenter of the Stop, GO and Tell curriculum;
Coordinate education efforts with community partners;
Broaden the audience that receives the Stop, Go and Tell curriculum;
Use education program curriculum;
Revise, develop, expand curriculum where needed;
Assist Education Director with securing funding sources;
Assist Executive Director with creation of media and promotional materials for Education Program and Agency;
Assist Executive Director with projects relating to community engagement and fundraising as needed;
Perform other duties and special projects, including participating in efforts for agency sustainability, as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
Hold a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a mental health or education related field
Preform two years’ experience working with children
Compensation:
$16-$19/hour for a one year contract
